Coordinating Team Profile
It is a consolidated work team whose members draw on different experiences which enrich CDD (ecumenism, NGOs, the church, health, political activism and women’s movement).

Marta Alanís: Founder and, at present, Coordinator of CDD Córdoba. Marta is a popular educator whose training is linked to social militancy and politics. During her exile, she lived in Bolivia, France and Nicaragua where she worked for the defense of human rights while denouncing the atrocities perpetrated by the military dictatorship in Argentina. In 2006, she received the Woman of the Year Award in the field of social work, which is granted by the Argentine National Health Ministry, in 2009 she received the social commitment prize of the Caras y Caretas Foundation in Argentina. She was the coordinator of the Red CDD/LA from 1997 to 2001 and has taken part in numerous national and international events. Currently, she is a member of the articulation commission of the National Campaign for the Right to Legal, Safe and Free Abortion.
Gladys Ponte: She received her PhD in Medicine and Surgery from Córdoba National University (U.N.C.) and completed her specialization in Gynecology and Obstetrics. Former director of Guillermo Rawson Hospital (Córdoba), she is also a university professor at the Second Chair of Gynecology at U.N.C. Currently she is responsible of the Training and Development area and the postgrades courses in sexual and reproductive human rights from a gender perspective.
Silvia Julià:
She is a lawyer and specializes in women’s human rights and is an activist in women’s rights campaigns.
Ms. Juliá has a strong professional background and long experience in local, regional and international events as well as in the promotion of spaces for discussion on issues related to human rights and the development of initiatives geared to opening and increasing democratic processes for female activism. Currently she is the co-coordinator of the Red CDD/LA and supports CDD´s advocacy area.
Juan Marco Vaggione: Coordinator of the Research Area at CDD, Córdoba. He holds a PhD in Law and Social Sciences from Córdoba National University (U.N.C.) and a PhD in Sociology from the New School for Social Research in New York. Mr Vaggione also does research and teaching work at U.N.C. He has published several articles on political sociology, one of which earned him First Prize in the Secular State Competition – Interdisciplinary Category – organized by the Latin American and Caribbean Committee for the Defense of Women’s Rights – CLADEM.
Maria Teresa Bosio: She co-manages the Training and Development Area at CDD. She holds a B.A. in Educational Sciences and an M.A. in Education and Work. She teaches at the School of Social Work, U.N.C., and at other tertiary-level educational institutions in Córdoba. She is an activist in the Women’s Movement and in the National Campaign for the Right to Legal, Safe and Free Abortion.
