CDD began its work in 1993 and it is legally constituted as a non-profit civil association.
CDD’s aim is to foster discussion and action on such issues as women’s reproductive human rights, sexuality, women’s health and citizenship and their connections with religious respects.
Since our start in 1993, we are a member of the Red Latinoamericana de Católicas por el Derecho a Decidir – Latin American Network of Catholics for the Right to Decide.
CDD’s / Our Objectives
To create ecumenical spaces for ethical/religious dialogue and discussion on issues pertaining sexuality and human reproduction.
To carry out specific actions aimed at women in general.
To foster the implementation and continuity of a public discussion about issues related to human reproduction, especially when connected to religious matters.
To sensitize society regarding women’s responsibility and right to a chosen /wanted and wished-for motherhood in an attempt to reduce abortion cases / the negative impact of abortion on women and maternal mortality.
To sensitize the State and the general public so as for public policies to be implemented guaranteeing women’s actual enjoyment of their reproductive health / rights.
To contribute to the reflection on and discussion of today’s socio-cultural patterns in connection with sexuality and reproduction.
To deepen the discussion on the voluntary interruption of pregnancy, broadening the debate regarding such aspects as those of a medical, legal and, mainly, ethical nature.
To support campaigns and networks with similar objectives.

| En el mes de julio de 2007 Católicas por el Derecho a Decidir Córdoba (CDD CBA) terminó de imprimir el libro “Mujeres tomando la palabra. Resistiendo los fundamentalismos: Historias de las mujeres, sus vidas, sus conceptos” que compila los textos ganadores del Primer Concurso para Latinoamérica y el Caribe de cuentos y relatos breves.
