Catholics for the Right to Decide –, Córdoba, Argentina.
CDD began its work in 1993 and it is legally constituted as a non-profit civil association.
CDD’s aim is to foster discussion and action on such issues as women’s reproductive human rights, sexuality, women’s health and citizenship and their connections with religious respects.
Since our start in 1993, we are a member of the Red Latinoamericana de Católicas por el Derecho a Decidir – Latin American Network of Catholics for the Right to Decide.

Católicas por el Derecho a Decidir (CDD) is an independent movement of Catholic people committed to the search for social justice and a change in cultural and religious patterns currently present in our societies. It is committed to the defense of women's rights, especially those related to sexuality and human reproduction, and to a life free from violence and discrimination. It works towards achieving equity in gender relationships and women's citizenship balancing religious fundamentalisms from a theological and feminist perspective. Its actions go back to the year 1993 and it is currently set up as a non-profit civil association.
Regionally CDD is articulated through the Latin American Network of Católicas por el Derecho a Decidir (CDD/LA Network, Latin American Network of Catholics for a Free Choice) made up of twelve CDD groups in different countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, Nicaragua, Paraguay, and Peru and Spain as an associated member), which makes it possible for them to carry out joint actions with other CDD groups so that our job has a greater impact in the region.
